In Need of Assistance?
Those impacted by a natural disaster may request financial assistance directly by clicking the application button below. Each applicant will be required to complete an assistance application to be considered. Support will be provided on a rolling basis, depending on the availability of funds. We aim to respond to all applicants within one week of submission.
National Preparedness Month Classroom Grant
National Preparedness Month is observed each September to raise awareness about the importance of preparing for disasters and emergencies that could happen at any time. We’re selecting two K-5 classroom educators to support a National Preparedness Month lesson, where students can build individual emergency supply kits and learn about natural disaster safety. Who is eligible for the Classroom Grant?

Applicants must be a K-5 U.S. based educator or educational administrator.
The grant includes materials to create individual safety kits, as well as educational resources on natural disaster safety and preparedness.
While the LTA Foundation will provide educational resources on natural disaster safety and preparedness, grantees will be responsible for finalizing the lesson plan and activity in a manner that will allow for the greatest impact for their specific class.
All grantees will be required to complete the lesson plan and activity by September 30, 2024, during National Preparedness Month. They are also required to provide a class photo with completed safety kits along with a quote outlining the impact of the activity.

Your generous donation will fund our mission of supporting natural disaster relief and preparedness. Funds donated will provide for the immediate needs of those impacted a natural disaster. We hope that all awards given are used towards helping provide for food, hygiene products, and/or temporary shelter.
